Mijn naam is Erik Nout en werk sinds 2012 als MKA-chirurg. Ik heb voor het Elisabeth-TweeSteden Ziekenhuis gekozen vanwege de kleinschalige, laagdrempelige contacten met patiënten en collega's in combinatie met de hoge topklinische zorg die gerealiseerd wordt. Vanuit dit oogpunt biedt het ETZ voor mij als professional zo een uitdagende werkomgeving om innovatieve technieken te kunnen ontwikkelen om zo de zorg die we leveren nog beter te maken.
Een gelaat zegt veel over iemand. Het aangezicht als werkterrein heeft mij dan ook van jongs af aan al gefascineerd. Een specialisatie tot MKA-chirurg was voor mij de mogelijkheid om dit te kunnen realiseren. Ik werk dan ook graag in het gezicht en in de mond, waarbij mijn speciale aandacht uitgaat naar esthetiek herstel of correctie van aangezicht en schedel, zoals reconstructies na grote aangezichtsletsels en esthetische implantologie.
