Het is een voorrecht dit vak te mogen uitoefenen en samen met de patiënt besluiten te nemen over de (operatieve) behandeling van zijn of haar aandoening, waarbij innovatie en geavanceerde beeldvorming een steeds grotere rol gaan spelen. Tevens gebruik ik wetenschappelijk onderzoek om de kwaliteit van zorg te verbeteren en patiënt -specifieke behandelingen te ontwikkelen, steeds meer toegespitst op de individuele patiënt.
